Leona LaurenLeona Louise (born on April 3, 1986) is a British singer-songwriter, actress as well as activist and performer. Born within the London Borough of Islington, she was a student at The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology located in Croydon. Based on the Official Charts Company, Spirit is the top-selling debut album of an artist of female origin during the 21st century. Its lead single "Bleeding Love" remains at the top of UK charts for seven consecutive weeks and then became the most-sold single in 2007. The song was also the highest-selling single in the US that year. Lewis won the Billboard Best New Artist Award the next year. The artist released Echo in 2009 and also released "I Have You" for the film's title track. In the year 2011, Lewis released the single "Collide" which was a collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii as well as her first extended work, Hurt: The EP. Glassheart (2012) came out as Lewis' three studio albums. It was Lewis the first time she tried electronic music , dubstep, and electronic music. She started recording tracks for her Christmas debut album while on her Glassheart Tour, which took between mid-2013. Following that, her album Christmas with Love with Love, featuring the title track "One more sleep" it reached the top three spot across the UK. Lewis, an British female solo artist was the first British solo artist to break the top of the list with eight songs. This surpasses Olivia Newton John's record which contained seven songs.
