Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American performer and actress. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier who was a nurse as well as Tom Bell - a television director. She is an American actor and singer. The mother of Kristen is Polish and her father is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen was already a talented performer from a young age. Her audition was in 1992 and got an appearance on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mother established her with an agent prior to her turning thirteen, and she got her first role for television and newspaper commercials. In addition to taking private lessons in acting, she launched her career at that time. Bell had an uncredited role in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell participated in the drama and music club of Shrine Catholic High School. Bell was chosen to play the lead role of Dorothy at her school's performance of The Wizard of Oz. Bell studied musical theatre at the world-renowned Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. Bell completed her studies in 2001, resigned her college studies in order to take on the role Becky on Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she made her first credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. The film was cut, however, her scene was cut from the film and she only appears as a credit. Bell made an appearance with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
